Racing Like You’ve Never Seen!
Silent Thunder Events is the live motorsports experience that puts gas powered vehicles and electric vehicles on the same track, at the same time, in a head‑to‑head showdown. We exist to answer one big question—how do EVs really stack up against internal combustion engines when the lights drop and the lap times matter?
Who We Are
Silent Thunder Events is organized by Car Charger Specialists, LLC, a Georgia‑based EV charging company that lives at the intersection of traditional motorsports and modern electric technology. Our team includes licensed, insured professionals who spend their days designing and installing EV charging solutions and their nights and weekends around racetracks and performance driving events.
We created Silent Thunder because we’re car enthusiasts first—people who love the sound, speed, and skill that define motorsports—and we’re also committed to helping drivers make the transition to electric with confidence. Bringing those worlds together on track is the most exciting way we know to show what both gas and electric platforms can do.
What We Do
Silent Thunder Events produces large‑scale “gas vs. electric” motorsports experiences featuring autocross, drifting, and head‑to‑head track battles between EVs and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles. Our flagship event, Silent Thunder 2025 at Caffeine and Octane’s Lanier Raceway in Braselton, Georgia, showcases everything from daily‑driven EVs to dedicated race cars in a full day of competition and family activities.
At our events, fans and drivers can expect:
- Organized performance sessions on the main track and in dedicated activity zones.
- Opportunities for gas and electric owners to test their cars in real‑world conditions.
- On‑site education about EV charging, ownership, and infrastructure from the Car Charger Specialists team.
- Vendor and sponsor displays featuring automotive, EV, and performance brands.
Our Mission
Our mission is to bring gas and electric communities together in a single, high‑energy environment where performance, education, and entertainment all share the same track. Instead of debating online, we invite people to see real lap times, real cars, and real drivers pushing both platforms to their limits.
We aim to:
- Showcase how capable modern EVs are alongside well‑built ICE vehicles.
- Create a welcoming space for enthusiasts, families, and first‑time spectators.
- Accelerate EV understanding and adoption by pairing racing with practical charging guidance.
Our Connection to EV Charging
Silent Thunder Events is powered by Car Charger Specialists, the Southeast’s premier provider of residential and commercial EV charger installation and maintenance. Every day, our team helps homeowners, fleets, and businesses add reliable charging infrastructure—from simple home chargers to complex multi‑station commercial setups.
Because we work with EV charging technology on a daily basis, we can:
- Answer real‑world questions about home and business charging at the track.
- Help new EV owners plan safe, code‑compliant charging solutions with licensed electricians.
- Partner with venues and sponsors interested in adding or upgrading on‑site EV charging.
Silent Thunder is where you see what EVs can do; Car Charger Specialists is how you charge them when you get home.
Where We’re Based
Silent Thunder Events and Car Charger Specialists are based in the greater Atlanta, Georgia area and serve drivers and partners across the Southeast. Our 2025 flagship event takes place at Caffeine and Octane’s Lanier Raceway, located at 5301 Winder Hwy, Braselton, GA 30517.
